LEGO Christmas Town lit up in Panevėžys

A Christmas town made of LEGO building blocks is lit up in the Panevėžys Cultural Centre. The event was organized by the Panevėžys City Municipality Administration together with UAB “Arginta Engineering” and Panevėžys Development Agency “Panevėžys NOW”.
“Arginta Engineering” bought brand new LEGO building blocks for the children of kindergartens in Panevėžys. During the event, the constructors were presented to the children. Why constructors? The company wants to contribute to the development of young engineers for the city of Panevėžys and to the development of the strategic direction of Industry 4.0 in our city.
Tomas Jaskelevičius, CEO of “Arginta Engineering”, asked the children at the event if they would like to work all their lives. After receiving a negative answer, Tomas Jaskelevičius wished everyone to study engineering. “Because when you create something, it looks like you are not working,” said the company manager of UAB “Arginta Engineering”.
Panevėžys City Municipality, taking into account the exceptional needs of the Panevėžys region – the annually increasing demand for industrial and industrial robots and the growing demand for engineering specialists on the labor market, is taking care to create the best conditions for the development and education of engineering competences of young Panevėžys citizens. To this end, an engineering education program is being developed that will engage children in fun activities that encourage critical thinking and teach the secrets of engineering.
The engineering education program, which will start on 1 September 2024, will develop a wide range of skills in the young people of Panevėžys: they will learn to find and use information independently, to solve problems, to think logically, to make decisions, to develop leadership qualities, to improve intellectual abilities, and to work in teams.
