In order to maintain its position as a market leader and to carry out sustainable and environmentally friendly production, UAB Arginta Engineering plans to implement the project “Introduction of technological eco-innovations in UAB Arginta Engineering to reduce the negative consequences of climate change”.
The hydraulic bending machines to be purchased under the project will feature laser technology, automated computer control, an automated quality management system and a closed technological process. The new hydraulic bending machines will allow the bending of bulky parts, avoiding the need to split parts and weld them together. In addition, the innovative equipment will enable cost-effective production, greening of processes and products, process optimisation and speed of production processes. The equipment to be purchased has been on the market for 2 years.
The aim of the project is to modify products by introducing technological eco-innovations in the company’s production activities, thus saving natural resources and reducing waste and harmful emissions.
Based on eco-design principles, the first products to be upgraded with the new equipment are: a product for paper machines (paper machine parts), a product for the vacuum conveying of the pulp (vacuum pulp conveyor), which are currently produced in a technological way that is not cost and environmentally efficient. The upgraded products will have the added value of reducing the amount of raw materials consumed, reducing the amount of electricity consumed and reducing the cost of energy used. energy content, eliminating the use of harmful substances.
The long-term objectives of the company, set in the context of the project, ensure its continued efficient operation:
- Rational use of resources by modernising all the company’s production processes.
- Thanks to modern equipment, all the company’s technological processes can be reorganised into zero-waste production.
- Increase the productivity of the company,
- Developing innovative products.
As a result of the new equipment, the company’s production processes will become more environmentally friendly and attractive to customers by offering high quality, exclusive products at very competitive prices, as the new technological processes will not only increase the quality of the product, but also reduce labour costs, waste, energy consumption and the use of hazardous materials. This will not only improve working conditions for workers, but will also be directly reflected in the final product price.
The project activities are expected to end in 2022. September.
The total value of the project is €965,079.00, of which €337,778.00 is from the European Regional Development Fund.
The project is being implemented under the 2014-2020. Priority 3 of the Operational Programme for Investment of European Union Funds, “Promoting the Competitiveness of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises”.
